Description This video course explores the subject of creating festive stylised fern fronds and a number of different wearable botanical pieces with them, from oversized complex headpieces to mini brooch numbers. The course is ideal for making festive and bridal pieces and beyond. Feel free to watch the introductory video below in which I talk a little about the course, the fern pieces you will be able to create having mastered it as well as the tools / supplies needed for this course.   With the Festive Fern, three ways video course you receive access to 150 minutes of video instructions from the practising flower artist. Watch the video through the artist’s eyes, follow the instructions and create, create, create! Here’s what you need for creating your own Linen Lace Rose: MATERIALS: ❀ heavy and medium weight fabrics, like dupioni silk, metallic fabrics, cotton, linen, velvet, in the colours of your choice ❀ metallic and other leathers (if you prefer to work with leather) ❀ Paper coated wires gauge #20, #24, #28 ❀ a choice of findings ❀ (optional) a selection of seed beads and metallic embroidery threads * All the fabrics need to be prestiffened before use You can stifffen your fabrics with the help of this blog post.
